Concerning the Zika epidemic that currently covers all of Latin and South America, we inform our participants that Guadeloupe is among the few Caribbean islands where the virus circulation is extremely low. Only some imported cases have been reported by the French Health Agency of Guadeloupe (ARS Guadeloupe) since October 15, 2015. Guadeloupe islands are still not concerned about by this epidemic.

Zika virus information and resources

Zika virus is spread to people through mosquito bites. The most common symptoms of Zika virus disease are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting from several days to a week.
